Rated Star Wars: The Last Jedi 9/10

I was <i>shocked</i> at the balanced closure I felt at the end of this force majeure. Though it felt a tad abrupt between scenes in the front half—and it felt a tad too déja vù of the Empire Strikes Back—this most recent installment was enjoyable and a thoroughly original take on the well-worn tropes of Star Wars years past. Beautiful, emotive, balanced, fresh, and nostalgic all at once (even if somewhat predictable overall). Also, <a href="https://twitter.com/radicalbytes/status/1016778646655123456?s=21"><i>Luke embodied everything</i></a> his character arc always should have been!
