Rated Klaus 8/10

Netflix offers a surprisingly balanced, sweet, and thoughtful entry to the animated holiday classics with Klaus. After a jarring, slightly off-key opening note, this elegy of modern Christmas materialism moves predictably toward a sweet, clear, ringing finish. With a few flourishing twists of the sleigh, the characters develop more than should be expected from such a snow-plowed path for the plot to follow.
A true act of goodwill always sparks another. – Klaus
Telling of its target age, sparkling holiday sleigh ride ends on a bright note without acknowledging its darker bittersweet middle movement — and the kids will love Klaus gift for it.
