Let’s start off by acknowledging that having the guy who wrote *Hooked* tell you how to avoid distractions feels a little bit like buying methadone from your heroin dealer. <br/><br/>There’s not a ton of new stuff here for anyone who’s interested in better managing their attention; Cal Newport writes more thoughtfully on the subject, but his level of digital minimalism is not right for everyone. Eyal’s book is more of a skim than a read, but there are some useful takeaways (I just hacked my Facebook to eliminate the news feed—so thanks for that tip!).
