Rated Hearts of Three 10/10
An adventure story that is definitely worth reading

Once in my youth, I came across the book "Hearts of Three" by Jack London. Then I asked my father what the book was about. He smiled back and told me to read this great adventure story about friends. And I started.
The work is addictive from the very first pages. The author perfectly conveys the era, the people, the current situation of the characters, and then sends the reader on an unforgettable journey. Great humor, real male friendship, love for a girl, confrontation with enemies and much, much more awaits on the pages of the book.
The novel itself is large in volume, but this only makes it better, because there is an opportunity to visit many places, go on a journey to distant lands and enjoy the forgotten worlds that have now disappeared, but the pages of the work are quite alive and very vivid.
Let the plot differ little in originality, where the three main characters are looking for treasures, and a love triangle is formed between them with all the ensuing consequences in the form of moral feelings, in fact, it is interesting to follow this. The heroes are real. The hot-tempered and indomitable Henry, the stately and valiant Francis, and of course the bright and beautiful Leoncia. Each of them becomes native by the end, each is interesting and memorable in its own way, and various ancient secrets of distant America are now associated with the work of Jack London.
A charismatic villain is required for every hero. It is also available here. This is Alvarez Torres. The man was created in the best traditions, appears to be an insidious and dangerous opponent of the whole trinity. As if to help him, the author sends police chief Mariano Vercara. The villains are quite cardboard and one-sided. For the reader, there is no doubt that both characters are the personification of evil in the work.
By modern standards, such a "black-and-white approach", where there are "good" and "bad", is probably already outdated. But for this genre and the time of the book's release (1920) this is very acceptable and timely.
Jack London gave us a great piece of art. The novel has already become an adventure classic. He instills in us the spirit of adventure, uncompromising, the ability to go to the end and fight for our values. The book is perfect for a young audience, but it will also make good reading for adults.
10 out of 10
