The Marvels is certainly not one of the strongest MCU films, but by far not the worst. The fact that the film is still performing so disastrously is most likely due to oversaturation and weak marketing compared to other films. Nevertheless, the film seems lost in the larger MCU context. It is not explained why Fury is suddenly traveling with a new organization in space. Additionally, viewers are left bewildered with the introduction of the X-Men at the end. --- The Marvels ist sicherlich nicht einer der stärksten MCU-Filme, aber bei weitem nicht der schlechteste. Dass der Film dennoch so katastrophal performt, liegt wohl am ehesten an einer Übersättigung und dem schwachen Marketing im Vergleich zu anderen Filmen. Nichtdesto trotz wirkt der Film im großen ganzen des MCUs verloren. Es wird nicht aufgegriffen warum Fury plötzlich mit einer neuen Organisation im Weltraum unterwegs ist. Zuschauer werden am Ende mit den X-Men außerdem vor den Kopf gestoßen.
