An interesting new twist in an old premise. Women gain the upper hand by having a power to electrocute while men do not.<br/><br/>I liked the idea, but I thought it missed the mark on a couple of things. It needed to pick a front to focus on, in my opinion. It either needed to be more detailed in how women took over the world or spend actual time in the future where women do rule the world rather than hinting at it with the occasional POV from some future anthro/archaeologists?<br/><br/>Most of the book takes place in the transition, but all the real fighting is somewhere off page. On one hand it cheats by having all women able to "awaken" this power, younger in older, instead of it being a true evolutionary difference between generations. Then on another, it includes ONE man mutilating a woman to take the organ that gives the power and somehow makes it possible for a man to use it too, but no other men manage it? I find that hard to believe. <br/><br/>I just ended up hoping for more out of this story. I even just looked for any sequels and a chance to round out this world more, but alas none that I can see. Unfortunate.
