Rated Rogue Protocol 6/10

Well! That was a quick read! I suppose it was because I've gotten used to the flow of Murderbot it meant the reading went quicker.

Maybe that was a little bit of why it didn't make as much of an impression as the 2 previous books? The excuses for it to be where it was were pretty flimsy and the human being told those lies was way too naive to the point of almost being unbelievable. All the humans weren't as present? as those in the previous books, especially once they were all dispatched and weren't part of the action. It made caring about them less important. I will admit, though, that Murderbot ending up pressured into ship's security/counselor and all the humans being described like whiny children was pretty funny.

The fight scenes were as creative as always. Very vivid descriptions. The relationship between Murderbot and Miki was less entertaining as that between Murderbot and ART, though I appreciated the once or twice Murderbot made note of, essentially, the shoe being on the other foot. The denouement(?!) of their relationship at the end was poignant and sad. Maybe less impressionable, but Miki is still memorable after all.

On to book 4.
