Rated Starry Messenger: Cosmic Perspectives on Civilization 8/10

I'm a long-time fan of Dr. Tyson, so most of his books I'm bound to read and enjoy. This small book is a collection of essays on several topics from his perspective as a scientist, as a (mostly) rational mind. Long ago I found I was mostly in agreement with his general reasoning on most topics and found it to be true here as well.

Of course, a lot of people like to talk trash about him, especially when he's tweeted things from this type of perspective, but I've yet to disagree with him on them. He even mentions such events a few times through this book and generally says that he's learned to not tweet them all. Not because he's wrong, but because people jump all over him for it. Which is a shame. Things might be quite different and better if things were done for what was proven by evidence to be better than to go the tribal route and disagree based on sides.

There's definitely plenty here to think about if for nothing else than to peer into the thought processes about the world in general from a world-renowned scientist and educator.
