Rated Fear, Inc. 6/10
Looking for a horror film with a few (really) cheap laughs and a great premise (think The Game)? If so, Fear, Inc. should be on your watchlist.
Warning: Run-On Sentence: While the concept sounds amazing on paper, after some time, the one-liners, horror film references and aloof acting start to irk you, and then you tolerate it because it's just a good time and you know where it's all leading, but the film begins to slowly unravel and you begin to second guess yourself, but then you realize what's happening and go along with it until something else happens and your mind is blown, so you stick around to see what else they could do, and then you watch to the very last second... Your mind is blown once again.
Sure, it's wonky, but, overall, how it all plays out will allow yourself to give a pass to some of the bad acting because the ending strikes a blow, and then the credits roll.
Film setup: I watched Fear, Inc. with my LG OLED G6 TV with Perfect Black. Minus the initial scenes (that guy was living the life, smoking weed and drinking by the pool, doing nothing all day!), Perfect Black helped capture the darkness (and dark tones) of the film, resulting in a *chef's kiss* movie-watching experience.
