Rated Gator Face 6/10

Gator Face was clearly influenced by The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. It gives us a loose plot filled with crazy people, a cast of young adults, and bad decision-making when trying to escape, but it's the practical gore that stands out. While the gators may have been the real stars of the film, the practical FX was on-point, giving us some great on-screen (and well-deserved) kills.

During the winter months, I live in South Florida, far from where this was filmed, but watching Gator Face run around in a heavy leather coat made me sweat because, around swamp areas, especially in Florida, the humidity is absolutely brutal. Kudos to Nicholas Kolasinski!

Final thoughts:
Don't say "Later, gator" to this one.

Film setup: Thank you, Filmmaker Mode. The gritty/grainy film felt like I was transported back to the 1970s. It also gave off The Collector vibes (a good thing) because it, too, was filmed in 2K with vintage 16mm lenses.
