All the characters in this movie are such a jerk. The things they say to each other in the first 20 minutes alone! Except for John Candy’s polka king. He’s a freaking delight. But seriously, this is such a fun movie for me, even after all these years. I’ll date myself by saying I remember seeing Home Alone in the movie theaters as a kid when it first came out. I still laugh out loud just as much as I did back then. The John Williams score is iconically Christmas and will always put me in the holiday spirit. Catherine O’Hara, Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern… all great fun. It’s just a solid comfort movie that’s perfect for the holidays. 🎄
