Surprisingly good! I'm not sure where all the Mescal hate is coming from. He's no Denzel, but I was on his side pretty quickly. I also think this movie is afflicted by the same condition as Blade Runner 2049: the best parts of the movie were undercut by the requirement of including its predecessor.
