Unintentional back-to-back Anthony Quinn (with ACROSS 110TH STREET the night before.) I watched w/ Italian audio, which is missing Quinn's distinctive voice. I checked out the English audio, which appears to have Quinn and Basehart reading the lines, so maybe I'll watch it that way next time. The other characters' English dubs were a little cheesy, though. I guess that's what you get with this era of Italian flicks. Anyway, good stuff. Dug the meandering nature of it, though I sometimes struggle with that on a first watch of these older films. Obviously very character-driven vs. plot and action. This is the first time I've busted out the Fellini Criterion box, and I'm excited to keep digging into it.
