Rated Au Revoir les Enfants 9/10

Captures the banality of war as experienced by kids at a boarding school, with the obvious exception of the new kids. Great 1940s Catholic boarding school slice of life production. Also a great "people watching movies" scene, especially with the old timey setup and a guy who can shred a violin. As expected, devastating ending in the nonchalant reveal of the outcome.
