Rated Fairy Tale 8/10

Stephen King is great at prose and setting a certain tone and that's all here in this one, with maybe a bit more of a light story than a lot of his work. Had a lot in common with my favourite King (and Straub, RIP) book, [b:The Talisman|13444|The Talisman|Stephen King|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1386924565l/13444._SY75_.jpg|3324421] but I don't think it will stick with me as long. Lots of dog content for people who like dogs, and there's a character who gets injured whose recovery was probably informed by King's own. His teen protagonist seemed a bit out of time although it's somewhat explained in the story, still was jarring sometimes.
