Rated Little Women 8/10

This was the last movie that I saw in theaters before Covid lock-downs started rolling across the country within a couple weeks. Rewatching it for the first time over half a decade later I was struck by the two timeframes of the movie plot being of a similar time jump. Added to it that the background of the Civil War in the movie with our current moment of the high ideals of this country being openly challenged by the grim reality for so many in this land and the brutal regimes required to maintain the comfortable divide becoming clear for many more than normal. I like the film then and enjoyed it again now. Impeccable casting from a couple generations of top Hollywood talent. I also found the cinematography to be quite compelling, especially the mirrored moments for Jo in the two eras of her life.
