Rated The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder 8/10

Now THIS is a dad book! When your kids are whining, you can just start quoting the conditions of the sailors in the book and tell them to hush! Sadly, there is only one battle described in this book, so it’s no Master & Commander, but this is a great description of human (and later, bureaucratic) behavior when faced with “the fuck do we do here?” situation.<br/><br/>My most vivid memory of this book was walking home in the cold winter rain listening to them struggle to leave the island. My hands were cold, but not that cold.
