Rated Paris, Texas 10/10

LSC BONUS 1: Roger Ebert's Great Movies Week I'm going to be honest I wasn't really looking forward to watching this movie. I'm pretty sure I've even tried once or twice and couldn't get through the first 15 minutes. So I put it on my list just so I could finally just make myself watch it and get it over with, I thought I was settling in to eat my vegetables. To be fair, I did, I ate my vegetables. But it wasn't like those vegetables you only eat because you have to (you know the ones). No, it was like the vegetables you always like to eat, your favorite ones (YEAH, those) just like you like them. Is this bit doing it for you? Because I'm struggling to come up with a fun and clever way to express the very brave and controversial opinion that Paris, Texas is a masterpiece. I don't know how else to describe it other than it sort of makes you nostalgic for heartbreak. It's a movie about those beautiful but hard truths that we have to face in order to live after loss. Everything in it is good, every shot in it is beautiful, the music rules. I don't know how many people you have to see give this movie 5 stars before you just watch it. I waited too long, you probably have too.
