Rated Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning 8/10

Tom Cruise used a series of high tech amulets to seal away a malevolent digital god and apparently drove a stake through the still beating heart of the internet in the process and everyone was fine apparently.  This is a movie trying to show us how to save ourselves as a species while also skydiving without a parachute and one-upping that rotating hotel scene in <i>Inception </i>by doing it in a life size submarine playset that is also full of water.  Why anyone would waste time seeing another dogwater live action remake over this is beyond me. The movie is just 3 hours of alternating between watching Tom Cruise try to kill himself for your entertainment in increasingly ludicrous ways and talking about how AI sucks shit.
