Rated Society of the Snow 10/10

Gut-wrenchingly beautiful and human, I sobbed for over half of the duration of this movie. I really adored the way this movie put so much care into properly portraying and memorializing all of the victims as well as the survivors of the plane crash, how engaged it was with the survivors and their desire to also put the friends they lost into focus within their retelling of the story. It’s an incredibly beautifully-conceived, written and depicted adaptation of the real-life events that doesn’t shy away from the incredible and horrifying hardships the survivors of Flight 571 had to go through, while at the same time highlighting the infinite compassion, devotion and resilience of all those involved; the sheer strength of the human will; the magic of connection among human beings.
