Rated The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes 8/10
There are many layers of meaning within the book, that spills through the pages. I've taken the top level philosophical takeaways one might be able to isolate from the book.

The element of Order: The hunger games and the peace keepers constitute as the mechanism of "keeping the peace" that is used by Panam as a weapon for citizen control.

Everyone starts with a clean plate: Every newborn starts with a clean slate. It is the experience that come after birth that shape ones beliefs and reactions.

Becoming of age: the struggles of starting to think for oneself can be scary. Upbringing has a great impact on the outlook of life. Pairing thinking for himself and given choice, one deals with the emotions of love, and disappointment leading to pivotal decisions which pave the future.

Some turn to evil for comfort: Evil never starts from birth; some choose it quicker than others.

Accepting the easiest path: Accepting one's destiny for some is simply destiny. Yet it is in the choices one makes that leads them to it. When accepting the easier path, it can lead to short term benefits but betrays the conscience.

Fear shapes, trauma bends: When allowing fear to lead us on the leash, we give it authority to become reality. When fear is shackled upon an individual, it leads to unwilled fear as it slides into trauma leaving shackles of anxiety.
