Fascinating story. A life exploring the idea of authority influenced by radical conviction and eventually confronting and conquering it in the end. To have Tara take us on the the journey to fighting identity and dealing with a childhood driven by irrationality and abuse, the realization of its effects and eventually saying no to it. i cant imagine it was easy to write such a memoir. There is a part of me that wants to distrust such a story, that it is too dramatic; that it can't be possible for a life to be that crazy. Yet for me to say that can't be true would be denying humanity's inability to conquer their fears, their biases, and ultimately to recognize their own failures.
