Rated Predator: Badlands 4/10

Everything about this just failed to land with me. The visuals felt flat (aside from some cool beasts) and it just lacked any heft, visually, and it just felt a bit like a kid's film to me. I want a Predator film to be nasty as shit, and I want to see people being hunted by this unfathomable force. I don't want to see a teenage predator teaming up with a wisecracking sidekick and learning about family. Also, there's a moment when Elle Fanning appears to be trying to emote (despite being an android) and seems to just stand there for a full five seconds, not doing anything of the sort. Very weird. Just didn't work for me.
