Lot to like about the period elements and some of the performances, but this is such an anticlimactic end to what could have been one of the greatest trilogies of all time. I don’t really think Maxine is as interesting a character as Pearl, but the real letdown is the final act. It’s fine, but nothing like as good as it should have been. Shame.
