I really was not expecting a movie about picking a pope to be this enthralling or flamboyant lol ngl the final plot twist does have the feeling of being written in the mid-2010s I feel like this movie was filmed for the purpose of mass appeal to the kind of person who watches movies that get nominated for the Oscars does that make sense it's also the kind of movie that makes you feel like you watched a social commentary but it simultaneously was too blunt and didn't really comment on anything anyway in any case overall v fun and showy, surprisingly well paced for a 2h movie
