Rated TRON: Ares 6/10

Ok first, let's get the obvious out of the way, Jared Leto kinda sucks. Second obvious: while I wish the movie did more with TRON: Legacy, it didn't completely leave it behind and seeing the brief callbacks to Quorra and Sam made me clap and rememberberries. Was the spectacle good? Yes, seeing it in IMAX was worth it. With that said, the plot felt a little underbaked and overbaked at the same time. Soundtrack was fine, but it also felt like maybe there was a love story attempt here that was torpedo'd due to Jared Leto gonna Jared Leto. For all the talk of it being a Tron movie, we basically saw 30 minutes of the grid, and the rest was just a race for the MacGuffin.
