Rated Pee-wee's Big Adventure 10/10

I saw this when I was a kid and didn’t really get it. As an adult I think it’s hilarious but mostly I’m chewing on the way his community supports this obviously well-meaning but difficult and extremely neurodivergent guy so, nicely. Friendly, understanding, not patronising. Everyone he talks to on his set routine of structured interactions comes to his house and lets him monologue for three hours about how his bike was stolen before anyone even says anything. We should all be so lucky.
