All in all pretty straight ahead noir stuff but done well and that still manages a few good twists, but man watch it for the Bradbury building stuff and the tense cat and mouse chase in the abandoned factory wow — also featuring a cameo from the Petries neighbour Jerry as a bellhop! also; interesting examples of POV storytelling as most of its a flashback, so you get funny cues in the soundtrack, like every time he sees a dame he thinks is hot a slide whistle plays the wolf whistle, which I thought was crass the first time, corny the second time, hilarious every time past 5, and when it stopped playing every time he saw any woman at all I was like “damn this guy is really concerned about the plot that is happening to him!”
