Rated Spinal Tap II: The End Continues 9/10

I had very low expectations of this because I couldn't see how it could come close to the original but it really does. The chemistry of the original three band members is there (RIP all the drummers) and Kerry Godliman as Hope Faith, their new manager, is excellent - we need to see much more of her because she is a huge talent. The weakest part is Simon Howler, the concert promoter, who is a thinly veiled Simon Cowell pastiche. Chris Addison does his best with the character but, at the end of the day, it doesn't add much to the story and that isn't on Addison, it's on the writers. This is a worthy sequel to This is Spinal Tap but let's leave it there. No more sequels!
