Overall, solid superhero movie. I like Gunn’s direction to embrace the quirkiness of DC, although this felt slightly safe, which makes sense for the first instalment (think SW Ep 7). The watered-down attempt at a political allegory felt like some classic Hollywood virtue-signalling but I loved the positive commentary on what it means to be human.
