I'm an easy mark for this kind of thing, but I loved watching it. The cast is phenomenal, the stage craft is incredible, the music rips along and the book is really well constructed with a lot of spinning plates that all mostly stay intact. There's SO MUCH in this topic that it's easy for things to get overlooked - how America started treating anyone Muslim or vaguely Middle Eastern like shit is briefly shown but feels like it is swept under the rug. It's not the focus of this show, fine I guess, but romanticizing the days after 9/11 as a time of pure unity is a little dangerous. The show is about a specific place and time, so it's not as egregious, but... I dunno. It's a conversation we still need to have.
