Rated I Saw the TV Glow 10/10

Mesmerizing. Time stands still, until it doesn't. I am in awe at how this film is able to dredge up deep existential horror without relying on terrifying images. Instead, it is beautifully shot, especially in the light of the titular TV glow. Jack Haven has a monologue toward the end that is utterly captivating, both from their performance and how it is shot. Parts of it should sound cheesy or nonsensical - and yet it works. What a magic trick.
