Rated The Great Wall 7/10

For better and worse, this is a pure spectacle movie. The action, costumes, and sets are elaborate. The sheer number of people and monsters on screen is impressive. Someone clearly had fun coming up with different weapons to attach to the Great Wall. The story, however, is paper thin. All the dialog scenes are either giving some information about the monsters, or hammering home "GREED BAD, TRUST GOOD". Which is fine, I guess! I do wish they could have given Willem Dafoe something more fun to do; he was wasted the most of the Western actors.
