Rated Black Sails 8/10

Black Sails is a gripping pirate drama that blends historical intrigue with raw, swashbuckling adventure. The show excels at creating morally complex characters. Captain Flint, Silver, and the rest of the crew are layered, flawed, and fascinating to watch. Its production values are top-notch, with stunning set pieces, gritty naval battles, and a rich atmosphere that makes the Golden Age of Piracy feel visceral and alive. The pacing can be rather slow at times, especially in the earlier episodes where the story takes time to find its rhythm, but stick with it, as once it hits its stride, Black Sails delivers a thrilling and thoughtful ride that’s well worth the journey.
