achingly human, occasionally in ways i was completely unprepared for / viscerally gross in a necessary way. reaches a bit far for the poetry sometimes but that makes it all the more human doesn't it? 'the blood was never poetic it was just red' and all that. i do like time is a mother so much more but this i think would grow on me with a reread
