Rated Der betörende Glanz der Dummheit 1/10

The book started with an interesting concept of reframing intelligence. Esther Villar proposes that intelligence isn't defined by being able to solve problems that could be easily solved by technology but by creativity, empathy and humor. Unfortunately the rest of the book reads like a hit-piece of a woman who is deeply dissatisfied with the world. Instead of building upon her idea of intelligence and strengthening her idea with research, Esther Villar seems to assume that everyone shares her definition and instead lashes out against people, professions and relationships while finding the most negative way to present those. We read this book in our book club and were very disappointed.
