Rated 50/50 8/10

Bold and well written, 50/50 strikes a fine balance between moving and funny. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan play very well opposite each other. This could have easily been full of self-pity, but instead is bright and life affirming. Don't be put off by the subject matter, you'll be missing out on an enjoyable movie.
