Rated The Killer 8/10

The more I think about The Killer, the more I like it. It was so precisely executed. A shining example of how great filmmaking can make even a simple story resonate. It doesn’t need complex layers to be effective. Its charm lies in its straightforwardness and the skill with which it’s crafted. The use of voiceover in the film adds this extra layer of humour that stops it from ever feeling too cold. It really makes the film stand out. I’ll admit, the ending had me a bit confused, but by that point, I was totally sold. The film had already done its magic on me. It’s not often that a movie keeps me so engaged that a bit of an enigmatic ending doesn’t bother me much. Definitely a must-watch for anyone who loves a film that stays with you, making you appreciate the finer points of cinematic craft.
