Rated Battle Royale 7/10

The story a class of school kids who are dropped on a deserted island and forced to battle to the death. The movie has a great concept, and the Tarantinoesque 'chapterisation' works really nicely to keep it fresh throughout. There are a few plot holes, but these do little to detract. I think the biggest flaw is the bubblegum dialogue, though I'm not sure if this is the fault of the writers, or translators. I found Battle Royale thoroughly entertaining. It was stylish yet accessible and all-in-all a lot of fun.
