Rated The Dark Knight Rises 9/10

Let's get the negative stuff out the way. The Dark Knight Rises has it's sticking points. There are daft little things that don't quite make sense. Where did the motorbikes come from? How did it take less than 8 minutes to go from daylight to complete darkness? I will never understand the sound mix. Bane sounds like a shit impression of Darth Vader amplified through a crappy PA system. Some of the other dialogue can barely be heard at all. Are we all in agreement? OK…here's my review. The Dark Knight Rises is stunning. It is huge. It demands your attention, your intelligence, your emotion, and it rewards you in kind many times over. It looks wonderful, it's storyline is epic, and you get the very real sense that you are watching important cinema. In short, The Dark Knight Rises is a superb ending to one of the finest trilogy of movies in my lifetime. Christopher Nolan has done the city of Gotham proud.
