I like Minority Report, especially its subtle ability to blend seemingly contrasting elements. At its core, it's a movie that cleverly weaves together thrills and excitement with a profound sense of sorrow. The intricate plot twists and the suspenseful chase sequences jell you on the edge of your seat. But at its hearts are themes of fate, loss, and the consequences of actions, painting a picture of a world that’s appealing on the surface but in reality it’s bleak, and justice is far from perfect. This crucial layer adds an emotional dimension to the movie, creating an experience that’s both captivating and thought-provoking. Minority Report also holds up pretty well to the test of time. There are only a handful of moments in the movie that give away its ripe old age. I don’t think Spielberg would have used that colouring or over exposed look today.
