Rated Nanny 7/10

Great atmospheric tension and a cornerstone performance by Anna Diop. But Nanny loses some of its punch when it's revealed that this is leading up to a literary twist which gets resolved by montage. The ending needed more time to explore the complicated fallout of the plot, but the budget and pacing were spent up by an extended horror sequence that threatened to ruin the movie via shock factor. Still, I would definitely watch another movie by Nikyatu Jusu.
