Still an underlooked masterpiece that held up incredibly seven years later. While we now know that this is just par for the powerhouse that is Barry Keoghan, I have to give special accolades to Evan Peters, who sells so much internal rage with mere looks of frustration. The use of the camera stands out, both immersing you in the fantasy these guys were engaging in as well as the palpable dread that haunts their waking days while they are fretting in the wind. The documentary aspect is the layer that always makes this a sit-up-and-pay-attention movie, weaving in testimonial with the biopic trope of mythmaking. Just incredible work. But I think part of the reason it got no respect was the Moviepass marketing antics. Alas.
