This spoke to me as a Survivor fan. The boar scene grabbed my attention and did what Raimi set out to do - shock and amuse. People keep comparing this to Triangle of Sadness, but I'm glad this didn't stray into overly ponderous territory. There's definitely some nuance and character depth lost by avoiding asking McAdams and O'Brien to tap into moments of subtlety, but McAdams in particular was doing some hugely entertaining work. I got what I needed from this movie, which was a gonzo parable about peoples' inner selves.
