Rated Final Destination 5 8/10

This review may contain spoilers. And so, my Final Destination rewatch journey once again ends here, after kicking it off with the most recent, Bloodlines. FD5 is still a high note, second only to Final Destination 3 in my ranking. Even things that seemed undercooked, like the relationship between the masculine and feminine lead that was so clunky in the fourth movie, are more satisfying in this one. The paranoia and morality struggle introduced by explicitly bringing in the dilemma of stealing someone else's time evolve the stakes and Miles Fisher - who I'm pretty sure also made a good cover of a Talking Heads song - has a great villainous turn. Most Valuable Kill probably has to go to the optometrist scene on this rewatch.
