Rated Train Dreams 6/10

Great actors, great photography, and a gut-clenching story. It almost felt like watching a nature documentary about us humans, and how fragile we become when nature decides to mess with our plans. I really enjoyed it, except for the overly expressive and present music, which adds too much pathos and undercuts the actors’ subtlety and restraint. It’s a shame, because it feels like a beautiful film trying a bit too hard to be beautiful, which broke the immersion for me.
