Frankenstein is not so much about the creature, than about his creator (the real monster) and, in this captivating version, the woman who, lucid and empathetic, searches beyond appearances to seek the beauty within the soul. The story explores how violence originates from a love that goes unreturned, from hatred, or even worse, from indifference. We suffer as much from rejected love as from love we never received.
