Rated Small Things Like These 10/10

A book about who people really are

A wonderful little book about the best and worst in each of us. The book centers the Christmas season to remind us of the small things that make up a life.

The author seems to be incredibly selective with their words. Conveying entire episodes in single paragraphs. The writing is simple and beautiful.

I particularly appreciated the protagonist in the story. A man striving to do the best he can, recognizing his privilege while also intimately aware of the hardship around him.

This is a Christmas story through and through. An honest Christmas story.
