Trying to make this guy be redeemed in the end somehow kind of makes you think of Safdie's intentions and world view.  The drug of individualism being injected into you to pacify your view of the world and ironically narrows down your individuality. You vs the world is the easiest most digestable feel good story in modern pop culture and I can already see the grindset edits that guys crave on tiktok because they lack the ability to see the world in other dimensions and submit to the feeling of what this movie is trying to sell. A win. Everything is about the win. And the win is unattainable but still attractive. Far but still close enough. Impossible but if you just release your marty supreme...maybe not.
