Rated The Martian 6/10

I got through this fast because I just wanted to know it ended. I felt like it was too heavy on the details, but the narrators voice in the audio book is what kept me going. Having to read the slog of what happened each Sol otherwise would've probably bored me to the point of not caring because hearing it I felt the same way.

It's a unique story, but a bit too neat for my tastes, tho if there's ever a book screaming for a movie adaptation it's The Martian.

Overall it's worth a read but certainly only for a die hard sci-fi fan who can embrace apologetics enough to forgive the obvious inaccuracies and questions about what got him there in the first place.
